CCAT / Gourmet

We are a Toastmasters Club with two special goals:
Catering to the needs of Toastmasters working on advanced projects and
we like to eat and talk about food.
In spite of that, we are still at heart a Toastmaster's club, dedicated to helping people improve their ability to speak.

How does CCAT differ from most other Toastmasters clubs?

• ALL evaluations are round robin (everyone gives an evaluation). We get much more practice at evaluating and speakers get much more comprehensive evaluations. Our evaluations are constructive but can be very detailed.
• We can accommodate LONG or COMPLICATED speeches, such as from advanced manuals
• Most of our members already have their CC (Competent Communicator, new name for the CTM Competent Toastmaster) but we will accept people working towards that.
• Our Sunday meeting is a Pot Luck dinner where everyone brings a dish that fits the theme. We have an additional agenda item where everyone explains the dish they brought (It's as short as a table topic but is a prepared speech; conciseness is an asset).

What CCAT is NOT

• We aren't boring, stick in the mud, overly formulaic
• We're not all about food, we just like to eat (doesn't everyone?)
